The sale of the former Harold’s Cross greyhound stadium is expected to be completed shortly as contracts have now been signed between the Irish Greyhound Board (IGB) and the Department of Education & Skills for the sum of €23 million euros.

Well our Tote crash on Saturday, coming as it did just twenty minutes ahead of the 2018 Con & Annie Kirby Memorial Final, was undoubtedly a complication that was not welcome at a packed Limerick Greyhound Stadium but nothing, literally nothing, could detract from the palpable expectancy which streamed through the stands as the hare began it’s motion for a race which will surely be part of our sport’s history and folklore in retrospective musings for generations into the future.

Tote operations at all greyhound tracks were disrupted shortly after 9 pm on Saturday night. This arose from a malfunction in IT servers at the IGB’s service provider in the U.K.
