Ring of Kerry Cycle
If sports are your thing then Kerry has you covered. The Ring of Kerry Cycle is one of the biggest charity events that the country has to offer. Since this race began over €15 million for over 150 different charities. The cycle itself is 175 kilometres and whether you’re participating or not, this is an event for all to go and support the thousands of volunteers taking part in this event.
Festival of Music
Located in Cahersiveen and taking place over the August bank holiday weekend, this music event is not one to miss. 2018 sees the 23rd year of this event running and it’s safe to say that the acts just get bigger and better each year, check them out here. This event will keep the adults and kids entertained this summer, with so much more than just the incredible music, this event has something for everyone- a must see.
Dingle Races
If you’re a horseracing fan we have an event you’ll not want to miss. The Dingle races, one of the biggest racing events in Ireland, have no more than 20 races but this event is sure to keep you entertained for the weekend. This one is an event for everyone and not just racing fans, this event offers live music and entertainment for kids too- what’s not to love. The Dingle races should be a must this summer. If a whole weekend of horse racing isn’t your thing, why not check out races in Kingdom Greyhound Stadium on a Tuesday, Friday or Saturday night.
Rose of Tralee International Festival
The clue is in the name that this event is a massive one. This festival brings people in from across the world to enjoy Irish culture. This festival has been celebrated for years and this history of it is captivating. This festival is to crown one woman as the Rose, it is not a beauty pageant, but this woman will be chosen for having the right personality and someone who can be a respectable ambassador.
