2018 GAIN INTERTRACK CHALLENGE IN TRALEE

GAIN are offering Greyhound Owners & Trainers an exciting opportunity this May as they sponsor the Inter-Track Challenge in Kingdom Greyhound Stadium, Tralee.

When is the GAIN INTERTRACK CHALLENGE?

The 2018 GAIN Inter-Track Challenge will take place on Friday 11th May in Tralee. 

The competition will feature Greyhounds from Tralee, Cork, Waterford, Galway, Limerick and Thurles. 

10 Races on the Night

Each of the 6 participating tracks will be represented in 10 different races:

  1. A0 525 yds confined
  2. A1 525 yds confined
  3. A2 525 yds confined
  4. A2 570 yds confined
  5. A3 525 yds confined
  6. A3 570 yds confined
  7. A4 525 yds confined
  8. A5 525 yds confined
  9. A6 525 yds confined
  10. A7 525 yds confined


Points will be allocated as follows:

1st = 6 points
2nd = 5 points
3rd = 4 points
4th = 3 points
5th = 2 points
6th = 1 point

The track with the highest points will host the event next year. Each dog to be from the county it represents and have ran at least 3 times at that track. 

Prizemoney 

A total of €14,200 will be on offer on the night of the GAIN Inter-track Challenge

Launch of the 2018 GAIN Inter-track Challenge

Speaking at the launch Brendan Maunsell, Chairman of the Kerry GOBA said “The greyhound owners of Kerry would like to offer a big thank you to GAIN for coming on board to sponsor the GAIN Inter-Track Challenge on Friday 11th May 2018. We are anticipating a fantastic night where the best dogs in Kerry will take on the best dogs of Cork, Limerick, Galway, Waterford and Thurles. We look forward to welcoming each track on the night and the stadium are happy to facilitate trials if required prior to the event.”
