RTE News Now to show The Semi-Finals of The Ladbrokes Irish Greyhound Derby 2012

The Irish Greyhound Board and Shelbourne Park Greyhound Stadium, are delighted to announce that RTE News Now will broadcast the Semi-Finals of the Ladbrokes Irish Greyhound Derby 2012, this coming Saturday, 1st September, from Shelbourne Park Greyhound Stadium

As always, the Ladbrokes Irish Greyhound Derby has created excitement for Greyhound racing fans, and indeed has had many surprises including the shock elimination of hot favourite Ballymac Vic in the Quarter-Final stages. Tyrur Sugar Ray then claimed the spot as sponsors favourite after he became the third fastest greyhound to run over 550 yards in Shelbourne Park. This weekend will see the 12 remaining greyhounds battle it out to secure a place in the Final

The Ladbrokes Irish Greyhound Derby Final, will take place on Saturday, 8th September, in Shelbourne Park Greyhound Stadium. The live Derby Final can also be viewed on RTE 2 from 8.30pm – 9.30pm. Gates open at 3.30pm with pre-race music from Aslan between 4.15pm and 6.00pm. The night will also feature a Best Dressed Lady competition judged by top Irish Model, Roz Purcell.
