'Fundraising in Youghal? Go to the Dogs!'
"In these days of economic downturn, clubs and organisations are finding it more and more difficult to raise funds. But Clubs must go on, and organisations need to function.
Youghal Greyhound Stadium might just have the answer to this problem...a most informative and entertaining meeting was organised by Youghal Greyhound Stadium....a good attendance was treated to a superb presentation of how to raise funds while at the same time having a great night out. One does not have to leave the town of Youghal for this - merely hop out to the local greyhound track."

'Dog Night Fundraiser was Howling Success'
"Supporters of Monamolin National School went to the dogs on Monday night last, as they turned out in large numbers to support a fundraiser for the new classroom at the school. Enniscorthy Dog Track played host to the Monamolin Fundraiser, and the supporters mixed with Bank Holiday race goers in an eventful and enjoyable evening.
As well as the featured races there was also a 'Spot the Dog' competition for children....An International Dads' Dash featured eight brave dads on a mad 150 metre dash to the finish line."

'The Recession doesn't stop Brosna's Fundraising Campaign'
"Recessionary times might be impacting on just about everybody, but community spirit in Kerry is alive and well. That is the very firm conclusion to be drawn from a benefit meeting at Tralee Track last Friday night to raise funds for St. Carthage Church in Brosna.
It seemed as if every man, woman and child from Brosna and the surrounding districts was present and it speaks for itself that the night will generate a profit in excess of €70,000...."

The annual fundraising night at Kilkenny Greyhound Track was once again an overwhelming success. Eddie Buckley and his team deserve great credit for the professional way the event was run.
